I started Garam Softwares because I was frustrated with the "portfolio project" culture in college. Everyone had GitHub repos with READMEs that said "TODO: deploy." I wanted to build things that people actually use.
My first real project was the NIAMT Racing website — built for our college's Formula Student team. That was the moment I understood the difference between a project and a product. A project lives on GitHub. A product lives in someone's browser.
Then I discovered vibe coding and AI-assisted development. Claude, Cursor, Gemini — these tools didn't replace my thinking, but they gave me leverage. Suddenly, one person could ship what used to need a team of three.
I started building Chrome extensions because they solve small, specific problems and can reach real users through the Chrome Web Store. FocusLog, JD Saver, and the Media Extractor Pro Chrome extension — each one solves a problem I (or someone I know) actually had.
"Garam" (गरम) means hot, fired up, intense. It's the personality of everything I build — fast, lean, no fluff. Not trying to sound like a big company. Sounds like it was built by someone with something to prove.
My goal: 10 shipped products in 12 months. Each one live, monetized, and actually useful. Not demos. Not prototypes. Real tools for real people.
